This beautiful cangle has one large, heavy nasturtium flower and four hand-fabricated nasturtium leaves. The central stone is a high quality, pale purple/silvery lepidolite, which feels perfect for the design.

The design was originally meant to be a cuff, however, the size of the flower coupled with the need to see some of the leaves from the top meant there was need to compromise. The ends of the stems flow beautifully, as with many other pieces in this collection, so my compromise was to create a piece that was flexible, if not fully adjustable.

Bangles are solid and, typically, round. Cuffs tend to have an open area on the underside that permit a small degree of closure to fit the wearer and are oval in shape. This piece offers a bit of both. There is a small amount of flexibility along the sides, as the stems will permit some give. However, there is no gap in the back, which means the entire hand will need to go through the piece using that give, rather than opening the piece entirely for a gap. The opening is a little rounder than a typical cuff, but it isn't a perfect circle. One thing is for certain, there is nothing like this that exists in the world today! It is definitely a unique piece.

Art Nouveau representations of nasturtium focus on the flow of the stems. Each element has been thought through to give the design a feeling of flow. The collection has few pieces for good reason, each piece in the collection took over a day to create, some even took over a week's worth of working hours. But it is the time and care taken that makes each and every piece unique and beautiful.

It's quite comfortable on, though it is in the large range. For smaller wrists, it might work as an arm band (I think this would look fantastic). The inside measurement is 7" in sum. My wrists are in the small range (on the side of extra small). You can see how it fits me in the image. This is as-is, pushing my hand through the opening with minimal need to stretch the sides to get through.

Note: If you are rough on your jewelry, you will want to treat this with gentle care. While sturdy, elements should never been twisted, torqued, bent, or pulled/yanked.

US Domestic shipping prices on purchases over $100 include USPS shipping and insurance. International buyers who wish for insured postage are welcome to ask and I can obtain pricing through UPS; you would pay the additional charges. UPS across waters (i.e. not in Canada) are quite high with insurance, but I understand shipping during covid has made many of us nervous.
