Vining Ivy Marquis Ethiopian Opal Adjustable Necklace
Beautiful Ore & Stone classic vining ivy leaves trail down to a point, where Ethiopian Opal sits. Below the opal is a sweet ivy leaf.
The chain length is approximately 17" with the ivy leaf sides included. This will sit approximately at 16" because they are solid pieces. There is an extra 1.5" of stone and ivy leaf dangling below. The chain is a lovely kinked ovals and transitions into a larger oval link of extension chain that measures a little over 2.5".
The images of this necklace on are at the shortest length. There is an extra 2.5" to play with.
A note about this stone: This is my first attempt to create a more stable Ethiopian opal. These opals are very soft and fragile. A simple knock against it or drop could create a broken stone. Adding the doming on top means the beauty of a rosecut stone is still present (it is rosecut below), but that the stone itself is secure and, barring extreme pressure, unbreakable from dropping and such. It is an absolutely gorgeous stone. It seems to have a lot of green, but there are still huge of bright pink depending on the way the light shines.
This necklace is meant to be worn closer to the neck, though it does have a fair amount of adjustable chain (with an amethyst briolette hanging from the bottom).
Note: If you are rough on your jewelry, you will want to treat this with gentle care. While sturdy, elements should never been twisted, torqued, bent, or pulled/yanked.
All of my work, unless otherwise specified brass or copper (will also be visibly obvious), is 0.925 sterling silver.
Please review shipping and return policies prior to purchase (see link at the top of the page).
US Domestic shipping prices on purchases over $100 include USPS shipping and insurance. International buyers who wish for insured postage are welcome to ask and I can obtain pricing through UPS; you would pay the additional charges. UPS across waters (i.e. not in Canada) are quite high with insurance, but I understand shipping during covid has made many of us nervous.
